On 10 November, 1975, when Dan was still a little boy, this 729 ft. Steam ship sank without warning in heavy seas on Lake Superior. The sinking of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald with all of her crew is what sparked my Grandson's facination with sea life and maritime history. Those interests took Dan may places in the world, and continues to be his greatest love, second only to being a father. Dan is considered by many people on the great lakes to be one of the foremost historians of Great Lakes ship wreck and maritime history. You might enjoy corresponding with him one day, he can be reached at dansnow1969@comcast.net
