LTJG Brandon served in the Navy from 1942 until 1948. Not much is known about his military career.
After his time in the service, he attanded college and then went on to a long career with the Union Oil Company (Unocal). He was the General Manager of the company in the earlier years. From 1961 to 1969, he was the Vice President of International Development. From 1969 onward, he was the Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors.
