You may feel compelled to shed a tear but hold it back just yet. Contemplate instead the lessons of Carol Sue Casey (Deming) of Groton, Connecticut, who passed peacefully on Saturday, February 12, 2022.
During her lifetime Carol's thoughtful nature made lives better day after day. Taking her lessons to heart will remind us all to live with intention, give anonymously, accept no nonsense, tough it out when you can and laugh when you can't. Carol's spirit is carried on by her son, Roderic Arthur Call lll, her three surviving siblings; Amy Oliver (Claremore, Oklahoma), Bobbie Wood (Rich Hill, Missouri) and Eddie Deming (Nevada, Missouri), extended family and dear friends. Carol is reunited with her husband and best friend, John G. Casey (Jack). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022, 11am at Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St, Groton, CT. Jack and Carol will be laid to rest together following the ceremony at the Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery in Middletown, CT.

I have never "fit"...I am that odd person out. I am that square peg who will never fit in that round hole. I am in this world, but not actually a part of it... To paraphrase Henry David Thoreau "If a (wo)man does not keep pace with his/her companions, perhaps it is because he/she hears a different drummer. Let him/her step to the music which he/she hears, however measured or far away." I have given up staying out of trouble, it is like a magnet for me. In other words, there is no reason to lead me to temptation - I can find it myself...I always do.

Love ME or stay out of MY way. I dance to the beat of my own drum, I don't know how to do anything else. I go through life my way, your limits and rules don??t mean a thing to me. Why do you try to stop my dance? If you don't like it, stay out of my way.I am creative, I am interesting, I am independant, I am unpredictable. This is all part of my charm.
"Traveling alone holds a certain magic. A feeling you don't get when you are in a herd. Then again, maybe the herd has something to offer, something I have not quite figured out yet." - Georgia, Dead Like Me, Season One, "The Bicycle Thief"
I have never met a stranger. I talk to everyone - that is just who I am. To paraphrase Will Rogers, "I never met a man OR woman I didn't like." I have been accused of being too friendly. I say, "You can NEVER be too friendly. Being friendly is part of being human. Through all this bullshit - I am human. In being human I am not perfect - that being said, accept me for who I am and I will do the same to you in return.
I have faced my mortality. When a surgeon holds your heart in his hands and you are laying there on the table on a heart bypass machine, it hits you. It hits you that all the bullshit that people and society tries to dish out to you is merely that BULLSHIT! I do not have time for BULLSHIT. It is a simple waste of time, energy, and most often money. So, either you deal with me straight up and forthright OR you can just move on. I conduct myself in the manner with all of the people I encounter, meet, befriend, and have a relationship. I am who I am - nothing more, nothing less. I accept you for who you are and damn well expect you to accept me for who I am. If that isn't in your character and you can't do that...move on, I will be just fine without you. Life is just too short the BULLSHIT!
I am a 5'1" full-figured woman - I describe my body/figure as a cross between Mae West, Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton, and Camyrn Manheim.
"Life is not so short but that there is always time enough for courtesy." Ralph Waldo Emerson. I do not gossip or participate in drama. I treat people how I wish to be treated
I never met a man (or woman) I didn't like." Will Rodgers (that is until you piss me off!)
Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skin in sideways, totally worn out, shouting 'Holy Crap....what a ride!'"
"Truth is the most valuable thing we have, so I try to conserve it." Mark Twain
"The age of a woman doesn't mean a thing. The best tunes are played on the oldest fiddles." Ralph Waldo Emerson
"I am a border ruffian from the State of Missouri. I am a Connecticut Yankee by adoption. In me you have Missouri morals, Connecticut culture; this, gentlemen (and ladies), is the combination which makes the perfect (wo)man." paraphrased from Mark Twain's speech Plymouth Rock and the Pilgrims, December 22, 1881.
