We operated out Segond Channel and made our patrols up toward Nauru Island,flying the sectors shown.Nauru had a "Betty" squadron and we had several encounters with them as did a lot of our other crews.None of these were ever fought to completion as the "Betty" had about a 100 knot advantage.We did get some measure of revenge during the night bombing raid the squadron made in June of 1943
