Black-light photography. Not PhotoShop. These photos are the real thing, not a manipulation. I was the Chief Photographer for Vim & Vigor Magazine and Peter Duchin, son of Eddy Duchin, was flown from New York City with his orchestra to play for a benefit evening here in Phoenix.
I wish some of my other photos of Peter Duchin were used as these are the only record I have of that event and meeting him. The artwork on the right side is one of a dozen life size pieces that are simply made up of glowing tubes of fluorescent material and illuminated with a black-light. You can see the glow from the light box on the far right of the image. Shooting these proved to be quite a challenge and I burned up a dozen rolls of film. Around Peter Duchin's neck are a couple more of the fluorescent tubes.
