My last tour in SERE, Warner Springs, CA. Nice to be out of the water and work in an isolated area just before retirement. It was a very peaceful tour. Got lucky soon after and in less than 5 months, took the entrance test and join the USPS, taking advantage of our veterans points towards that employment. The job of a mail carrier is so much tougher than it looks. I don't care though since the pay is quite good and I'm working towards another pension. Got to be practical these days, since we are not getting any younger.
