Military honors for Howard E. Rosenau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur E. Rosenau, Genesee, killed in action aboard the U.S.S. Curtis at Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941. Remains were returned to the United States October 10, 1947, aboard the Funeral Ship Hondo Knot. Deceased was first World War II casualty from north central Idaho. Officiating at the services, Rev. E.C. Meyer, pastor of St. John Lutheran church. Interment at St. John cemetery. Men in uniform, former service men and members of Bielenberg-Schooler Post, American Legion, Genesee.
