I worked as a medical photographer for ten years: St. Francis Hospital, La Crosse WI: April 1975 - August 1977. St. Joseph's Hospital, Phoenix AZ: February 1981 - May 1981. Phoenix Baptist Hospital: May 1981 - July 1987. During that time I was a member of BPA, Biological Photographic Association which is now BCA, BioCommunications Association, Inc. The organization was founded in 193. I have their commemorative medals from their 25th Anniversary in 1955 and their 50th Anniversary, 1980. I became a member starting in 1981. In 1984 I published: "A simple method of adding half-stops to a Micro Nikkor lens", photographs, concept and article by Steven Loomis, published in the Journal of Biological Photography July 1984; 52(3):53-5.
