PLEASE DESCRIBE WHO OR WHAT INFLUENCED YOUR DECISION TO JOIN THE NAVY.
When I was 5 years old, my Mother was driving in Chicago down Stoney Island. A group of Sailors were waiting for a Bus. My Mom offered them a ride back to the Base and 8 Sailors got in the car and on the running board. They were very polite and thankful and one of the Sailors said, I would make a good Sailor.
WHETHER YOU WERE IN THE SERVICE FOR SEVERAL YEARS OR AS A CAREER, PLEASE DESCRIBE THE DIRECTION OR PATH YOU TOOK. WHERE DID YOU GO TO BOOT CAMP AND WHAT UNITS, BASES, SHIPS OR SQUADRONS WERE YOU ASSIGNED TO? WHAT WAS YOUR REASON FOR LEAVING?
Retirement, after twenty seven years of service
IF YOU PARTICIPATED IN ANY MILITARY OPERATIONS, INCLUDING COMBAT, HUMANITARIAN AND PEACEKEEPING OPERATIONS, PLEASE DESCRIBE THOSE WHICH MADE A LASTING IMPACT ON YOU AND, IF LIFE-CHANGING, IN WHAT WAY?
Saved a women's life with the Hemlock maneuver. She was choking on a donut.
OF ALL YOUR DUTY STATIONS OR ASSIGNMENTS, WHICH ONE DO YOU HAVE FONDEST MEMORIES OF AND WHY? WHICH WAS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE?
V R 58 Master Chief and i were the first people to arrive and start up the squadron. I was very proud to help build the squadron.

The friendship and Honor we all shared with one another. I miss all of my ship mates!!!
WHAT PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF FROM YOUR MILITARY CAREER?
Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. For 27 years of service to God And my Country!!! Also working with Naval Sea Cadets teaching them how to drive ships and fly airplanes. For 11 years I taught 220 cadets to work together and respect one another,seven of my Cadets graduated from Academies.
OF ALL THE MEDALS, AWARDS, FORMAL PRESENTATIONS AND QUALIFICATION BADGES YOU RECEIVED, OR OTHER MEMORABILIA, WHICH ONE IS THE MOST MEANINGFUL TO YOU AND WHY?
To see my Naval Sea Cadets graduate from the Academies. Also enlist in Army Navy, Air Force, Marines,Coast Guard.
