Seek a better way of life. Get out of poverty and help my parents and siblings. While in my 4th year of High School (mid-1979) I saw an advertising by a Navy Review Center located in Santa Cruz, Manila on the Philippine Bulletin Today newspaper: Join the United States Navy. Attend a one week Test Preparation Course to prepare for taking the Navy written and interview examinations for a fee.
