I lived about a block from Bobby when we grew up in Owensboro. I went in the Navy in 1947 and he joined a few months later. We both were hospital corpsmen. He was a corpsman with the USMC when he was killed. He was killed a few weeks, June 1951 after he arrived in Korea. His body was sent home in November 1951.
