So far my contacts with Diane have been just a few to clarify or understand things about TWS and help in posting a remembrance profile for my deceased nephew who was a sailor.
Her responses have been quick and very clear to understand. Thanks Diane. Why am I posting this tribute to her? Because it struck me that too often we take for granted what people do for us. People like Diane Short are often unsung heros. She was one of the very first women to be assigned to shipboard duty. That fact alone distinguishes her as a sailor.
