ADJ2 Chris Winfrey was my sponsor when I arrived at NAS Agana Guam Search & Rescue in May 1977.
He was a quiet kid, married, just had a child. Had an old Ford Pinto that he let us borrow to get around, and ended up buying from him. Floor boards rusted out. Tree fell on it during a typhoon. Funny what you remember sometimes. Had good times. Sorry he had to go in a helo crash at sea like that. Rest in Peace Chris.
