Best Moment having lunch with my dad (USAF ret) when he dropped by near the end of basic training. Using an immunization chit several times to leave quad area and sneak for a swim at base pool for a few weeks in Texas summer.
Worst Moment weekends at Amarillo AFB in summer during technical school . Nothing to do. Hot, humid and flat red dirt. No one went AWOL since they could still be seen running 3 days later.
Other Memories flying (C-97) on 23 April 1967 with 100 others to Kelly Air Base for Basic. Watching Jerry Mathers ("Beaver Cleaver") throw up his box lunch as we flew there.
