Last Known Activity:

After the Navy, Milton met Dorothy Carlson, they married in 1953 and remained in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Milton worked for the Niagara Paper Mill as a technician for 44 years, and retired in 1986. He was a very active member of the First Lutheran Church, serving on the Church Council and as secretary / treasurer of the Lutheran Brotherhood at First Lutheran. Milton was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans, Iron Mountain Post.

His discharge paperwork lists Milton as a S1C V-6, Shipfitter Striker. It also shows CCL-518 and 1045-518-8 which we understand as his Rate and Class OR Rank and Classification.
