Best Moment Getting to Boot Camp and not needing shots or haircut.
Worst Moment Having been raised an Army Dependant, I knew what to expect. No worst moments. Had fun the whole time. Enjoyed it.
Instructors Company Commander was EN-1 Cole. Met him about 8-9 yrs later in Singapore. He had made ENC. I remembered him but he did not remember me. After all, he ran about 4-6 companies through in a year. Not expected to remember me.
Other Memories Sent to Boot Camp via train from Kansas City. Train had a layover in L.A. for 2 hrs. Got back to the station and the train had left. There were three of us. We pooled our money and caught a cab all the way to San Diego. We beat the train and waited for about 45 mins.
