Personal Memories

Best Friends
Norman Hunter (we joined together on the "Buddy" system), Thomas Veal, Skippy Montgomery, (?) Jackson,

Best Moment
Drinking beer in the back of the bus after returning from Cyprus Gardens (our only day off base during the 14 weeks of Boot Camp).
Graduation

Worst Moment
I was unsuccessful in inflating my pants during the ocean survival float training, so I ended up treading water for what seemed like forever. The instructor eventually extended a pole to me and pulled me out. I rolled over onto the coping and nearly threw up. A close second was getting my wisdom teeth pulled.

Instructors
Our Company Commander, GMG1 Day (the rate could be incorrect)

Other Memories
We had a record player in the smoking lounge that we all chipped in and purchased. Everyone contributed albums to the collection. This is where I learned to appreciate various genres of music. We presented the record player to our CC upon graduation. He was a good guy.
