Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 15 was the first PT squadron sent to the Mediterranean Theater, where it operated as a unit of the British Coastal Forces. It had action throughout the western Mediterranean, basing at Bizerte and Bone, Africa; Palermo, Sicily; Salerno, Capri, and Leghorn, Italy; Maddalena, Sardinia; Bastia and Calvi, Corsica, and St. Tropez, France.
According to the musterĀ rolls, S2c Bordlemay died of "smoke intoxication", but no other details are given as to the cause. He was originally buried at the temorary cemetery established by the US Army Medical Dispensary in Bastia, Corsica and later moved to the American Cemetery in Italy.
