My wife's maternal side of the family. John was involved in the Atlanta campaign and many more battles. He served inthe 79th Infantry Illinois Volunteers until he was mustered out june 12th 1865 side We are still trying to figure out how many greats to add to get the relationship properly named. I added that he died in 1926 a couple of times, but it was acting up a little and wouldn't take it. when we get more information I'll add it, The david name carrid down the line until my mother in-law Married Harold Carter my father in law.
