 Additional Information
Last Known Activity

CWO4 John Lehman Nicol served four years in the U.S. Air Force as enlisted. He returned to civilian life and continued his education at Texas A & M.

He entered the U.S. Army in the new Warrant Officer Flight Program and earned his pilot wings (rotary-wing). He later completed his fixed wing certifications. He served three (3) flying tours in Vietnam flying the Huey and Chinook helicopters.

He was a super guy and I am proud to call him my brother-in-law. Rest in Peace, brother...you have earned it. I will miss you always. See ya in glory!

The Eternal Goodness

I know not what the future hath
Of marvel or surprise;
Assured alone that life and death
His mercy underlies.

And if my heart and flesh are weak
To bear an untried pain,
The bruised reed he will not break,
But strengthen and sustain.

And so, beside the silent sea,
I wait the muffled oar;
No harm from Him can come to me
On ocean or on shore.

I know not where His islands lift
Their fronded palms in air;
I only know I cannot drift
Beyond His love and care.

----John G. Whittier
