 Additional Information
What are you doing now:
I recently retired as the Director of Engineering for AMETEK HDR Power Systems a small electronics company on the west side of Columbus, Ohio.  I currently consult in the industrial power engineering industry. I have written two technical books that are presently available on amazon titled "Plasma at Work" and "An Introduction to SCR Power Controls". My hobbies are playing guitar, writing books and watching old movies. I Produced a book in 2010 on the USS Johnston DD-821 titiled "THE REAL STORY OF THE USS JOHNSTON DD-821" AVAILABLE ON AMAZON.COM.  I just complete the "Part 2" version of the Johnston book and it is now available.
Other Comments:
I enjoy reading and writing books and currently have two technical books selling on - "An Introduction to SCR Power Controls" and "Plasma at Work".  I am currently working on a third technical book.  I also have a comical book in the works and my life story to leave to my kids.  Of course it will include a large portion on my time in the Navy.  Like most of us, I did most of my growing up in the Navy.  My most recent book "The Real Story of the USS Johnston DD-821 Part 2" is a companion to the first Johnston book and is sold on

Currently I serve as the Treasurer of the USS Johnston DD-821 Association.  I was elected to the position in 2007.

My other hobbies are playing guitar and watching old movies.  I especially like Navy and old war movies.

My father served in the US Navy for 3 years during WWII on the LCI(R) 1029.  My yougest son just completed 5 years mostly spent on the USS Enterprise CVN65.  Combine those years with my four and my family has a total of 12 years serving the USA in the greatest Navy in the world.
