Last Known Activity


In 1994, he recieved his mandatory letter of retirement. He served 32 years in our finest Navy. Involved with combat operations in the Korean, Vietnam, and Gulf War. A legend in the Aviation community who flew as an Aircrewman on the C-1 COD & S-2 ASW Aircraft. He served on the USS Oriskany, USS Range, USS Constellation, USS Roosevelt, USS Saratoga, USS John F. Kennedy, and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. He served at various commands overseas and in CONUS. 
   
Other Comments:

Known as "MARDI" around shipmates & friends. Famos word "Shipmate" and famous quote "I'm so flexible, I can bend over and kiss my own..." Aviation Legend, Shipmate, Mentor, Friend and Icon who will be missed by all who knew him. He his survived by his wife Caroline, five sons, one daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter.
