What are you doing now:
After Boot Camp at Orland, Florida and Radioman "A" School, I was attached to the USS LaSalle (AGF-3) homeported in Bahrain.  I spent two really great years at thsi duty station, making life long friends, fun cruises, important operations and fabulous memories.  I played in the Ship's band "The GREENFIELDS", got to play for numersous dignitaries (i.e. Emporer of Ethopia) and large events (Ethopian Navy Days) and became one of the winners of "Sailor of the Month" for the ship.  I then went and served two yeas on the USS DALE (CG-19) homeported in Mayport, Florida.  Really learned my rate on this ship, lots of curises/operations and great ports.  After leaving the USS DALE, I served two more years in Washington DC at Crystal City Comm Station.  Due to the situtaiton there, I ended up the Petty Officer in charge of the Communications Center (normally E-8 billet)  as an E-6 and won the "Sailor of the Year" award.  I got Married to my high School sweetheart, left the Navy and was hired by Procter and Gamble.  I worked in the Corporate Security Division for 27 years as a Senior Manager Fraud Investigator-Handwriting Analyist and retired at age 55.

I now teach music in numersous Grade Schools, I play music with a "Las Vegas Style" show band "THE BELAIRS SHOW BAND", my wife and I travel and hike various mountains (last year we hiked the Alps in Austria) and bicycle abut 25 miles a week. I have written/produced/recorded songs and have produced and directed a youth music group's CD's since retiring....Life is good and I'm loving it!  Finally doing my passion, Music,  full time.
