I was with Batch all through PBR training and all patrols until his death.He was more than my boat captain {4 man crew}, he was a father figure also as I was only 20 and the was 32. I do have some pictures but were developed in Vietnam and not so hot after oner 40 years. I don't think you will get any answers as to how he was killed as that is not for public record. But he died a hero. I was his Gunner on his boat, PBR 77. One of the first river boats in Vietnam and the 77th boat made.
