Working at a printed plastics company full time and writing in my free time. I write both Christian fiction and non-fiction and also have a few non-Christian books. My books are available on Amazon. I'm currently an associate member of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers.
Instead of spending a lot of time on social media, I enjoy coming here to TWS. I think it's interesting researching our fallen fellow shipmates and creating memorial profiles for them. I'm also a member of the TWS Memorial Team and spend time researching and updating memorial profiles created by other members which may be missing information. If you need help creating a profile, editing your own, or need tips or help researching a veteran, please feel free to contact me.
The commanding officer takes great pleasure in presenting to Hospitalman Third Class, Sheila Rae Myers, a letter of commendation.
It is with great pleasure that I present this Letter of Commendation to you in recognition of your outstanding performance of duty while assigned to Branch Medical Clinic, Naval Station, Norfolk, Virginia.
From March 1987 through April 1989, you performed your duties in a highly professional manner with the utmost attention to detail. Your skills and expertise as an Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Vehicle Operator were instrumental in the clinic's ability to provide superior quality and expedient emergency services. Your ability to train and orientate newly reporting personnel greatly enhanced the efficiency of the clinic's mission. In addition, the management of your collateral duties as Supply Petty Officer for the Military Acute Care Division enabled full stocking of emergency supplies. You consistently demonstrated sustained, superior performance far exceeding that expected of a junior petty officer. Your ability and flexibility permitted you to react to crisis situations and perform commendably. Your "Can Do" attitude and positive demeanor have served as a shining example for your peers.
Your superb efforts and devotion to duty reflect great credit upon yourself, the Navy Hospital Corps and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the the United States Navy. As you prepare to depart from the Naval service, I extend my personal "Bravo Zulu" for a job extremely well done and wish you further success in all future endeavors.
V. Paul Haws, Jr Captain, Medical Service Corps United States Navy Commanding Officer
