Capt. Hansen Retiring Naval Science Post at NU
Capt. James R. Hansen, professor of Naval Science at the University of Nebraska, will retire in June after 25 years of naval duty. No successor has been named. The departure of Hansen creates a clean sweep of military professors leaving the University.
Hansen, a 1936 U. S. Naval Academy graduate, has been at the University since August, 1958. He has been decorated by the Navy with almost every distinguished wartime honor, He plans to live in Los Angeles tentatively, seeking civilian employment.
