HOPE FOR LOOMIS GIVEN UP.; American Officials In Paris No Longer Think He Is Alive.
PARIS, July 2 1904. -- The American Embassy and Consulate have given up hope that F. Kent Loomis, (brother of Assistant Secretary of State Loomis,) who disappeared from the steamer Kaiser Wilhelm II. at about the time of her arrival at Plymouth, June 20, will be found alive. Letters to that effect have been forwarded to the State Department.
-- His body was found wash ashore in mid July on the coast of England at Warren Point.
Other accounts wrongly list him as Kent J. Loomis, making it harder to follow.
