Of Bremerton, Wash - US Navy Veteran
Mr. Albert H. Buster of Bremerton, Washington and formerly of Halifax County, Verginia died Tuesday, July 6, in Bremerton at the age of 71. Mr. Buster was born in Halifax County on Sept. 24, 1938 to the late Mr. John M. Buster and Mrs. Fannie Hicks Buster. He was the third of 12 children.
Albert H. Buster passed away July 6, 2010 in Yakima, Wash. From decades-old exposure to asbestos. He joined the Navy at 17 years old and served 20 years and a day. He worked and retired as transportation specialist and rigger at Kitsap Navla Base in Bangor, Wash.
Survived by his loyal, adoring wife, Beverly; three children Anitra, Beverly Alberta, and Albert the second; four brothers, Cain Daniel (Melba), twins Wilbert (Tammy) Gilbert (Karen), Nathaniel; five sisters in New Jersey, Kate, Shirley, Eva, Gloria, and Marion; grandchildren, Johnnie and Chiarra; son-in-law John Tierney. Albert was preceded in death by his mother, father, sister Fannie and brother John.
A funeral for Mr. Buster will be conducted on Thursday, July 15 at 1p.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Whitfield Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday.
Interment is at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Scottsburg, Virginia.

Albert H. Buster was active with the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 5 in Bremerton, Wash. And a past state DAV Commander, Volunteer DAV van driver. Longtime member of Ebenezer A.M.E. and served as a Trustee, Usher, and Assistant Sunday School Superintendent. Member of the United Christian Church Ushers Association.
