Last Known Activity:


The USS (SS-275) Runner left on her patrol for the Kurile Islands on 27 May 1943, and was never heard from again. She may have struck an enemy mine or sunk as a result of an air/sea attack. Declared overdue and presumed lost, she was stricken from the Navy list on 30 October 1943. CGM Baker was listed as missing in action and later declared dead.
