Personal Memories

Best Friends
I really did not have any best friends during this time.  I was considered a loner.

Other Memories
After discharge I was married and returned to the University.  My wife, Shirley Sue, helped me study at night.  I used the GI Bill and it was not enough to support us so I had to move to Little Rock, Arkansas.  I got a job working as a bookkeeper and enrolled in the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  I worked and went to night school until I finally finished in 1960.  At this time I applied for a job at a department store and was hired.  This helped us out as I had my accounting and econimics knowledge that helped me rise in the company.  After 31 years in this corporate atmosphere, a wife and three boys, I retired to Northwest Arkansas where I am whiling away my retirement years.
