Glenn was discharged from the Navy as a MoMM (Motor Machinestmate/diesel) Petty Officer First Class in April of 1946. Thanks to the GI Bill, Glenn enrolled at ASU and graduated in May of 1950 with a BS in Accounting and a minor in Elementary Education. In August of 1950 he was hired by William T. Machan, the long-time Superintendent of Creighton School District as an accountant and part-time teacher. In 1954 Glenn became the Controller for Creighton. Glenn continued his education receiving his MA in Elementary Education in 1956. He also became very involved with the Arizona Association of School Business Officials (ASBO), first as Treasurer and then as President. Glenn served on numerous committees to improve the professional standing of school business officials, became a life member of the International Association of School Business Officials (IASBO) and was awarded a Registered School Business Certificate, in 1965. He was elected to the Board of Directors of the IASBO in 1976. He continued his education at ASU and achieved his Doctor of Education in 1979.
