Rear Admiral Lawrence T. Heyworth, one of the few to wear both gold wings and gold dolphins.
USS Finback (SS-230) participated in eleven war patrols in the Pacific Ocean WWII.
He was a Navy Test Pilot and candidate for the Mercury space program.
First naval aviator to enter the "Double Supersonic Club" by flying an Air Force F-104A at Mach 2.
First commanding officer of the USS America CV-66.
