Killed in a non-hostile vehicle accident in Vung Tau, Vietnam when he went ashore to tend to wounded from a combat situation. Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall: Panel 41E, Line 003.
Graduate of Boulder High School, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and, the George Washington University School of Medicine. Interned at the Albert Einstein Hospital in Philadelphia before joining the US Navy in July, 1967

Other Memories The 27-year-old physician interned at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia for a year before entering the Navy in July 1967. The lieutenant, a Boulder, Colorado native, had attended George Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis before coming to Philadelphia.
