Readies Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) material for electronic transmission and the Defense Courier Service (DEFCOS).
Provides for and maintains accreditation of SCI facilities. Exercises control and accountability of all SCI material at the command.

9190 NEC INFORMATION
NOTE: To be awarded this NEC, each candidate must complete: Defense Intelligence Agency's SCI Security Official's Course (virtual or resident) provided by the Joint Military Intelligence Training Center or the SSO/SSR Professional Training Course (virtual or resident) provided by SSO Navy (ONI-52).
Additionally, the following NKO Navy E-Learning Courses are required:
001SPO - Security Policy and Procedures;
002AIO1 - AIS Security;
002SCO1 - SCI Administration and
002SSO1 - SSO Administration.
Upon completion of course requirements, the candidate must obtain Commanding Officer's recommendation based on a minimum of six months performing SSO/SSR duties. Following completion of requirements, forward NAVPERS Form 1221 along with course completion certificates to EPMAC via SSO Navy (ONI-52).
Subject: NEW LAW EFFECTIVE THAT AUTHORIZES LEAVE CARRY OVER FROM 60 TO 75 DAYS As published by DFAS at http://www.dfas.mil/mil-news/mar2008/leave.html, a member will be eligible to carry over 75 vice 60 days of leave into a new Fiscal Year. However, please note that this new law is effective on 01 Oct 2008.
This new authorization applies to those individuals who are not already authorized to carry forward more than 60 days leave due to the eligibility criteria described in OPNAVINST 1050.3, par. 3 and 4. We are expecting a MILPERSMAN Article Update and a PPIB Notice from Pers-35 in the near future. We can also expect a MPA from DFAS...
