Ronald Hollingsworth joined the Navy on 2 April 1941. He was injured (details unknown) while stationed aboard the USS Minneapolis (CA-36). He was transeferred to Base Hospital #6 and then to the United States for treatment. He was given a medical discharge on 15 September 1944.
After his Navy service, he worked for Cousin's Furniture from which he retired in 1964.
