Description
(September 15–26, 1950) in the Korean War, an amphibious landing by U.S. and South Korean forces at the port of Inchon, near the South Korean capital, Seoul. A daring operation planned and executed under extremely difficult conditions by U.S. Gen. Douglas MacArthur, the landing suddenly reversed the tide of the war, forcing the invading North Korean army to retreat in disorder up the Korean peninsula.

Personal Memories

Memories
George was a loving husband, father, and a shining example of what a hero truly is. He was kind, compassionate and selfless, a Korean War Veteran who loved to study history and antique clocks, and shared both with all who he came into contact with. He was my Father-in-Law, and he taught me more about life in 2 years than I had learned in the prior 35 years before I met him. He has earned his eternal rest in heaven after a long struggle with cancer, and he has the love, admiration and respect of all who knew him. Rest in peace dad, and may the Lord nurture and keep you until we all can be reunited together in His kingdom.
