Description Detailed Marine and Navy planning plus rigorous training were the keys to the success of NATO Exercise DISPLAY DETERMINATION which was conducted in Turkish Thrace during the month of October 1987. The 4th Marine Amphibious Brigade (4th MAB) and Amphibious Group 2 (PhiGru 2) played essential roles in the exercise, which was designed to promote NATO solidarity.
