Other Memories I was born in Balboa Naval hospital in 1971 when dad was attached to VF-161. At least he was fixing fighters (F-4's phantoms) when I was born (I'm an F/A 18 hornet airframer, fighters definitely ran in our family. My brother was F-14 tomcats (we latter forgave him for being an AT, typical airdale humor was always a good memory with dad over a good glass of Famous Grouse scotch whiskey, or what my brother referred to as Famous Mouse). We latter had dad upgrade to single malt scotch or as he commonly referred to it as pay day whiskey. He also had this notion that the military all hands scotch was made by the top distillers, that still makes us laugh to this day.
