Best Moment Skiing in the Alps at Obersalzburg.
Worst Moment The notorious Khrushchev shoe-banging incident which occurred during a UN debate on October 11 1960. Infuriated by a statement of the Filipino delegate, Khrushchev accused Mr. Sumulong of being "a jerk, a stooge and a lackey of imperialism". Later Mr. Khrushchev pulled off his right shoe, brandished it at the Philippine delegate on the other side of the hall and banged the shoe on his desk.
We went on full alert and moved to the border expecting the worst.
