I am the Purchasing Agent for Cross Timbers Health Clinic, in De Leon, Texas. I buy all the materials,supplies and services it takes to keep foour clinics running... computers, furniture, vaccines, consumable medical suppliesand other items and services. Just can't get away from the Storekeeper work.
Other Comments:
I came back to a hobby that I had put aside for over 25 years. I'm now a registered songwriter through ASCAP and I'm working on getting my tunes published and out to performers as we speak. A record label out of Houston wants to produce a CD of my stuff. But that's an expensive project!
Worst Moment The worst moment was when one of the 305 birds splashed after a flame out. But it was cool to see the Gunners Mates and Marines shooting at the aux tanks that were floating in the water.
Other Memories We did our annual training onboard Nimitz. I was watching the gunners trying to sink the aux tank and an old shipmate ABE that I was stationed with in the '70's aboard the USS Lexingtong walked right up beside me and was watching the event also. We reminesced for a bit and then it was back to flight ops.
