What are you doing now:
Lots of things. First, even though I am retired (1 Jul 06), I am the Training Officer with the Training Ship Reina Mercedes 0152, Navy League Cadet Corps, Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. I enjoy working with these little "Junior Sailors To Be." I also play softball and have recently taken up playing the piano (I'm really loving the piano). I am a software tester for major DoD contracts in my civilian career.

Best Moment Many moments at the beach. We went every Saturday and Sunday. He was actually my best friend. I met a couple of his friends (JT & his wife, Terri). We barbequed often. California living was great!
Worst Moment In leaving California, my husband (Richard) and I were driving back to Texas on 1 Nov 84. He was honorably discharged from the Marine Corps on 29 Oct 84, and I was honorably discharged from the Navy on 31 Oct 84. We had a terrible car accident that left him unable to walk and a severely disfigured face as well as a broken neck. He lay in a coma at San Diego University Medical Center before he transferred to the San Diego Veterans (VA) hospital where he had two surgeries - one corrected his face and the other fixed his neck. He survived (thank you God). I was left with a scratch on my forehead and on my arm after the rollover (car accident) on interstate 5 (45 minutes west of El Centro, CA).
Other Memories Requested an early discharge from the Navy. I was with child (my oldest son). I lived in Oceanside, CA near Camp Pendleton (where Richard was stationed). My drive to work was about 45 minutes to San Diego.
