What are you doing now:
Retired from Hawaii in 2003. Darlene and I moved to Northern Virginia. Worked for the Navy's CIO for a year as a consultant (imagine me working in the IT environment!). Was asked by NASA's Chief of Staff to come over to the Headquarters in DC and set up an Executive Secretariat in 2004. I took the job and am still enjoying it. Exciting missions that I daydreamed about when I was a kid make coming to work fun and exciting. I have a great group of folks working for me...very knowledgeable and motivated.
Still loving life, still married to the same wonderful woman, and now have a great little seven-year old grandson, Garrison. Our beautiful daughter Brandy is married to a Navy Flight Officer (P-3s), LT Walt Smith, and they are now stationed at NAS Pax River after a tour with VP-16 in Jacksonville. Walt recently took on a difficult IA assignment. In addition to being a great Mom to Garrison, Brandy has a degree in Elementary Education and just received her Master's in Counselling. We are so proud of her. Walt came through the enlisted ranks and is doing a great job in Naval Aviation. He qualifed as Mission Commander at the squadron and is now working in the acquisition world at NAVAIR along with recently earning his Master's Degree. Walt, Brandy, and Garrison are a wonderful family, and we really enjoy having them fairly close to us. We are so blessed. Darlene continues to help people. She has her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology after studying virtually "around the world" during our Navy career.
