JAMES FRANKLIN SWART Obituary
James Franklin Swart, 78, of Taft, originally of Stillwater, Okla., a loving father, husband and friend, passed away Sunday (March 11, 2018) at his home. A member of Prospect Baptist Church. James served active duty Navy for 22 years, having served in Vietnam as part of the Navy Seawolves (1967-68), honorably retiring as E9 Master Chief Aviation Ordinanceman. He served as a deputy sheriff in Douglas County, Nev., from 1981 to 1991. He then served as a US Census field representative from 1999 until 2007. Survived by his wife, Barbara, of Taft; daughter, Rita and husband, David Seale, of Citrus Heights, Calif.; son, Kevin of Stillwater, Okla.; daughter, Destini and husband, Eric Baldonado, of Denver, Colo.; son, Robbert and fiancé, Jackie Booth, of Fayetteville; sister, Rita and husband, Daryl Davis, of Chickasha, Okla.; brother, Danny Swart of Perkins, Okla.; sister, Sherry and husband, Rodney Watson, of Southaven, Miss.; brother, Terry and wife, Sandy Swart, of Cherryvale, Kans.; sister-in-law, Marlene and husband, Tony Barbero of Doyle, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores; father, Franklin; mother, Annie; and brother, Dwight Swart; one brother-in-law; one sister-in-law; two nieces; and one nephew. A celebration of life and memorial service with military honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Prospect Baptist Church, 32 Prospect Road, Fayetteville, with Pastor Ronnie Gay presiding.
