 Additional Information
What are you doing now:

I am retired from the U. S. Navy and retired from the University of Virginia.
We traveled full-time in an RV for three years after I retired from the Navy in 1979 and I worked many part-time jobs during that period. After our travels I worked several part-time jobs over a two-year period while we started building our new home. Then, beginning as a Medical Center Project Manager on September 11, 1984, I served for a total of 27 years 8 months in the Facilities Planning & Construction Department (FP&C) of Facilities Management at the University of Virginia, retiring on May 4, 2012 as the Administrative & IT Manager, Webmaster, LSP-Pro for FP&C.

Memories For This Unit

Other Memories
This was my first boat - which I got orders directly to without first going through Basic Submarine School. Once aboard I was sent up the river to go through the Escape Training Tank at Sub School and I started on my Guppy IIA (EB Boat) submarine qualifications while learning my Radioman duties, but was transferred to the USS Bang (SS-385) after only four months aboard.
