This was great duty...almost like McHale's Navy. Alot of sea time, but it was great.
While inport San Francisco...flew to Salt Lake and Heather Lyn and I drove to Elko, NV and got married August 29, 1979. While at sea for 28 days, Heather would write me almost every day. Inport I would receive 30 days of mail from her...the other sailors didn't like me for that.
   

Worst Moment
We had a 40% roll from ruff sea's. The safe in the radio shack flew across the room and just missed RM3 Vickic.
