Memories For This Unit

Best Friends
Knabe, Limke, Nelson, too long ago to remember anymore names

Best Moment
RO Bought a cag of beer for the crash crew

Worst Moment
1963 F-4 Crash @ end of runway broke in two
Lost Pilot saved RO
A-4 with hydrolic failure landed the wrong way taking the arresting cable which snapped the cable it was at night and as I was hang out the door ready to go,I was a rescueman, the sparks from the cable went streaking past barely missing me. The funny side though when we rolled up on the aircraft the cockpit was open and the pilot
was runnig down the runway. It had spun the A-4 around. Funny how we remember different circumstances and block out others.
