SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Morton Loomis Ring, United States Navy, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Chief of Supply Section, Logistics Division on the staff of CincPac/Poa, in the Western Carolines, Iwo Jima, and Ryukyu Islands from 7 August 1944 to 1 September 1945.
