 Additional Information
Last Known Activity:

US Navy Radioman 1st Class Ernest Dailey died in the crash of the airship USS Macon in Monterey Bay. The airship was damaged in a storm near the coast of California, causing it to lose helium and descend into the water. He died when he attempted to jump from the giant airship, too high to survive the fall. The Macon was based at nearby Moffett Field in the San Francisco Bay area.
