CART I (Colts NecK), Military Sealift Fleet Support Command (MSC/MSFSC) Details
Military Sealift Command uses Navy Reserve cargo afloat rig teams, or CARTs, to quickly augment civil service mariners aboard combat logistics force ships which transfer food, fuel, ammunition and other critical supplies to Navy combatant ships at sea. CARTs are composed of reservists who are highly trained in underway replenishment operations, both by connected replenishment and using military or commercial helicopters during vertical replenishments, at the MSC UNREP Training Center.
