Thank you so much for your call and email. They certainly stirred up a lot of memories!
I clearly remember the evening George came home from HS-5 or 9, I can't remember which it was, and told me he had volunteered for the Seawolves. He said it was a "helicopter war" and he was a helicopter pilot and he should go. We all left for Ga. soon after and he went to train at Fort Benning and I went to my home town of Americus, 60 miles away, with the children. I think the group he was in was first to go over there.
